Although not initially on the ballot, a referendum has made its way on. Facing voters is a yes/no decision that would approve public funds for a new downtown hotel and convention center. It will be on the June 5 ballot, and restricting it to city residents only is a conservative, yet practical, motion. It is good to see the strong support of the local government in on this project, and expect to see a high voter turnout.
